Finally, the long wait is over for Life Is Strange fans. In a video, developer Dontnod Entertainment revealed that the hit episodic game has now sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

They thanked fans who continue to show their support and shared that one common question regularly pops in fan letters: What is the team working on at the moment?

The Paris-based developer has revealed that they are currently working on a new Life Is Strange game. Yes, it's finally happening, folks. Turns out, the team has been working on it since the first game's physical version was released (it originally launched as a digital-only game).

Other than the confirmation, no other details have been shared by the developer. And it looks like we won't be hearing more of the game anytime soon. According to Eurogamer, who has reached out to the game's publisher, Square Enix, the developer won't be around at E3 2017 to share more details.

Life Is Strange was a surprise hit when it launched in 2015 on multiple platforms. It featured five episodes, released periodically throughout that year. The first episode launched on January 30, while the last episode hit digital stores on October 20.

The physical version of the game released one year later on January 19, 2016 (January 22 in Europe). The limited edition contained several bonus goodies, including an art book and the official soundtrack. All five episodes received positive reviews. The game also received numerous award nominations and wins from notable gaming publications.

Set in a fictional town in Oregon, Life Is Strange focuses on teen student Max Caulfield, who mysteriously develops the ability to rewind time, and her childhood friend Chloe Price. The game's ending, which had players faced with a painful choice, is one of the most emotional endings in recent memory.

If you have yet to play the game, we definitely recommend checking it out for a heavy dose of feels. It is currently available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
