Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and the LEGO Group today announced the launch trailer of LEGO The Lord of the Rings for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system, the Wii system, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, PSVita and Windows PC.

Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, LEGO The Lord of the Rings takes players on an epic journey through Middle-earth as they take the form of their favourite members of the Fellowship and relive momentous events from the films.

Family members of all ages will enjoy playing together in easy drop-in, drop-out co-op gameplay as they partake in the iconic Helms Deep Battle, explore The Shire, escape the fiery pits of Mount Doom, and battle against Shelob, the Nazgûl, and the Ringwraiths, all the while solving puzzles, collecting and using a variety of weaponry and magical items, including the Light of Eärendil, Elven rope, swords, and bows.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings is rated PEGI 7+ for everyone 7 and older is available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the suggested retail price of £44.99, Wii for the suggested retail price of £29.99 and Windows PC for the suggested retail price of £24.99. The game is also available for the Nintendo DS for the suggested retail price of £29.99 and for the Nintendo 3DS™ and the PSVita for the suggested retail price of £39.99."
