Warner Bros. have announced that Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to last years hit Batman: Arkham Asylum, will be available in stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and on PC's through NVIDIA 3D Vision.

Stereoscopic 3D is available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 when playing on any 3D HDTV and wearing active shutter glasses that are compatible with the television. PC users will need NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology.

As well as fancy pants Stereoscopic 3D, the game will also be available in old school anaglyphic 3D when wearing appropiate glasses, whether these glasses come with the game is not mentioned.

Batman: Arkham City builds on the first game by taking the player to the new home of Gotham city's thugs, which boasts a game world five times larger than that of Batman: Arkham Asylum. New characters are introduced in the game including Catwoman and the recently revealed Mr. Freeze.

Batman: Arkham City is scheduled for release on October 21 in the UK and October 18 in the US.
