Rockstar have announced the development of a PC version of its hugely successful 1940's open world interactive detective game L.A. Noire.

As expected the PC version will be optimised to run on a variety of configurations but will also get some graphical improvement and even 3D support, it will also feature extra options such as keyboard remapping and gamepad functionality.

"L.A. Noire is a new type of game that makes players see through a detective's eyes in 1940s Los Angeles," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "Its unique blend of story, action and crime solving will be perfect to play on PC."

L.A. Noire on the PC is slated for an Autumn release.
