Bloomberg are reporting that full PSN services will be restored by May 31st, that's according to Sony spokesman Shigenori Yoshida.

The company have yet to provide any concrete evidence that this is a target, instead they are simply saying it will be back when they are sure of the security of the network and ensuring user data is safe.

Sony shut the service down on April 20th after a security break, if May 21st is anything to go by then it will be six weeks of downtime for the service with countless hours of gameplay lost and revenue to companies selling games on the network.

Last week they promised services back within a week, however, in a recent blog post they said: "We were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers, and we are taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system"
