Activision Blizzard and Zynga sued
Company claims WoW, COD, Mafia Wars and more infringe on its database-driven online distributed tournament patent

An invention company is suing Activision Blizzard and Zynga over an alleged infringement for one of its patents relating to a database-driven online distributed tournament system.
The company says that games such as World of Warcraft, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, DJ Hero 2, Mafia Wars, Fashion Wars and Special Forces infringe on the patent it filed in 2001.
As with all these lawsuits, it is seeking monetary damages but no value was specified.
