CDV software have won the publishing rights to Nival Interactive's tactical RPG game, Hammer & Sickle. The agreement covers Western Europe, the United States, Canada, Central and Southern America, Japan and Australia.

The publishing agreement builds on the partnership between the two companies which saw CDV publish Blitzkrieg, Nival Interactive's realistic World War II RTS in March 2003 and will see the release of its sequel, Blitzkrieg II, in September this year.

Hammer & Sickle is a tactical RPG based on the Silent Storm engine. The player will assume the role of a top Soviet spy on clandestine duty in the British-American controlled sector of Germany in 1949. In a world where no one is quite who they appear to be, gamers will have to navigate a web of intrigue and make decisions that could determine the fate of the world.
