Konami kicks off Tournament!

Konami of Europe kicks off its 2005 Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament in June, with fans of the brilliant Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2005 for GameBoy Advance competing for a chance to take on winners from all over the globe in the grand final in Tokyo.

Keen duelists will be invited to pit their skills against rival Yu-Gi-Oh! fans in Virgin Megastore branches up and down the country, and will use the gameBoy game's link mode to battle through a series of knock-out rounds. From each regional heat, two winners will be invited to a UK final held at Virgin Megastore's Oxford Street branch on July 2nd. Here, the eight finalists will duel it out - with the winner and a guardian winning an expenses-paid flight to Japan for the grand final against finalists from Japan, the US and all across Europe, with huge prizes on offer the Champion of Champions

Entering is easy. Just visit http://www.konami-europe.com/wct05 and follow the instructions there. You will then be contacted regarding your place in the tournament. The dates for the heats are as follows:

London, Oxford Street - 11th June

Birmingham Pavilion - 19th June

Newcastle, Monumental Hall - 25th June

Glasgow, Buchanan Street - 26th June

So, if you think you are a Master Duelist, what are you waiting for? Only the best at using Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2005's many traps, monsters and spells will emerge victorious, so if you think you can mix it with the best make sure you register and head to the nearest Virgin Megastore in the next couple of weeks. Who knows, you could end up representing the UK in Japan's grand final...
