Ubisoft Entertainment has teamed up with AREA51, Cork's premier multiplayer gaming café, in order to bring several hours of high action video gaming to the city. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is one of this year's most popular video games having just hit number one in the Irish charts. On April 29th at 4pm, a mammoth five hour tournament will see teams battling to become the ultimate Splinter Cell Chaos Theory champion. With lots of Alienware and Ubisoft goodies up for grabs, this is surely going to be one of the most hard-fought gaming tournaments of the year!

AREA51 was established in December 2004 and is the first multiplayer gaming café in Cork. It boasts 24 high performance Alienware systems which will be pushed to their limits during the Chaos Theory tournament. Area 51 has a fun and competitive atmosphere where players can chat and help each other out during team games.

Sam Kidd, manager of AREA51 said "Gamers want to be able to turn to their buddy and look at the tears in his eyes as they decimate his armies and yet still be able to laugh about it later."

Situated on Cork's North Main Street, AREA51 provides value-for-money entertainment, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Would-be participants must register with AREA51 ([email protected]) in order to take part.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is available now on PlayStation 2, XBOX, PC and Gamecube.
