HomeLAN have posted a Q&A with Dylan Beale and Rhys Cadle of Bits Studios about Rogue Ops, their upcoming console stealth action game:

HomeLAN - How did the idea behind Rogue Ops come about?

Dylan Beale - A couple of years ago we had a group of French developers join our studio in London. They had an idea for a stealth based game in which the main character was a female version of a 'Gentleman Thief'. This meant she avoided combat where possible, took extreme care not to make a mess when she broke into somewhere, and was generally very polite to anyone she met. While this was an interesting idea, we ran into a few marketing brick walls with this, and had to adapt the design and story to bring it closer to what we think makes for more exciting gameplay. About this time, Kemco stepped in and acquired the world wide publishing rights, and also added their own flavor. So, like all great games, the idea started off as something else, and then as it was developed and played it changed along the way into what we have today.
